Great Little Break Away!

Having stayed at pods/Glamping sites before we knew what to expect but Quarry Pods surpassed that. It wasn't that difficult to find as other reviews have suggested the postcode takes you right to the gate. Check in was at your own pace, with your key left out for you. Pods were bigger than some others with have stayed in, 5 pods arranged in a horseshoe which isn't exactly super private but it’s the way this Glamping pods are usually arranged but to be honest your’e not there much as your off sightseeing so it wasn't really an issue. Having your own lockable bathroom facilities was wonderful, it was spotless clean and lovely toiletries more like a 4* star hotel than glamping (only point was the bathroom ceiling had a lot of spiders/flies - maybe worth a sweep - little scary at night :/ Lovely barbecue area and wash up facilities and even a freezer for ice packs and the pod had a heater so it was more than warm at night. Pod also had a nice welcome pack and cool box (only additional comment would be that our pod (The Nest) had no inside light as other pods seemed to have? As for Wifi it did work when near the main facilities not so great in the pod area but your’e in Devon what do you expect? You shouldn't be that desperate for wifi when on holiday anyway. The location is peaceful and quiet and lovely to sit and have coffee in the morning listening to the birds. Also well situated near Bude, and not far from plenty of beaches and would recommend a visit to Padstow, plenty of shops not to far away either for essentials. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Glamping site and have already done so to friends and family, I think for the facilities we had it was good value for money. Stayed: August 2016
