Bring Your Dog
Dog Friendly Cottages in Devon at The Old Shippon
We accept two dogs and make an additional charge of £25.00 per dog, payable at time of booking. We only ask that dogs are kept of the furniture and beds (but have provided sofa throws, because we know what they can be like). We are happy for dogs to be left in the cottage, provided they are happy to be left and are in the secure indoor kennel we provide as part of the dog pack
(See Bringing Your Dog in Terms and Conditions)
For owners who require holiday accommodation for their working dogs, and would prefer to keep their dog outside of the accommodation, we have a number of suitable and secure barns and buildings (please enquire).

Many of the local attractions make provision for dogs, and dogs are welcome in the grounds of most of the National Trust properties within Devon and Cornwall.
Walking Your Dog Locally
We have a securely fenced 23 acre woodland plantation, close by to The Old Shippon, where guests are welcome to walk their dogs, and offers plenty of opportunity to spot many of the rare and beautiful birds and butterflies found on our farm.
Adjoining Dunsdon Farm is the Dunsdon National Nature Reserve (which welcomes dogs on leads), and within ½ mile both ways from the farm you can walk the Bude Canal http://www.devon.gov.uk/budecanaltrails.pdf or drive the short distance to the coast where you have the beautiful coastal path and beaches, or take a trip inland to the moors of Dartmoor (17 miles) and Bodmin (27miles).
